Guys about the movie-my opinion!!
I think it's one hell of a movie--shawshank--a 2 and half hours of thrill,excitement and a woderful experience.
I was awestruck by the plot,the ending.
they were extraordinary!!
About Plot: The movies starts with life sentence of a hot-shot banker,Andy Dufresne(Tim Robbins),for murdering his wife and her lover.There is no proof that points to him but the quarrel between them about the affair and the gun he lost both lead to him.
Movie Story Line: Frank Darabont,the director of the movie,depicts the life in jail beautifully.
Andy meets Red(Morgan Freeman),a murderer at young age,served 10 years already.Red gets anything you want in jail like cigarettes and what not any thing.Andy is tortured by Sisters(gay inmates).
Andy goes on to do tax returns of every officer in jail.He literally runs a law firm in jail.He also does taxes of Warden Norton(Bob Gunton) in return to which he allows Andy to build a prison library.
Andy plans his escape in jail,actually when Andy does tax returns he transfers entire dirty money that norton gets to a imaginary character and converts it to clean money.
Andy crawls his way through a near half mile of sewage.Next day he takes all the money and ha also tells his friend Red to come to him when he gets out of rehabilitation.
Merirts: The screenplay of the movie is nerve stinging!!

The stroy focuses on Life in Jail and How you are INSTITUTIONALISED if you live more than 50 years behind the walls.
And how one keeps their mind occupied.
DIALOGUES: What I like the most in movie are it's Dialouges. they are very carefully written and entire story is told in Red's point of view.

Andy being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up DOES rejoice. But still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I can't squeeze a drop without say-so.Red: [narrating] Not long after the warden deprived us of his company, I got a postcard in the mail. It was blank, but the postmark said Fort Hancock, Texas. Fort Hancock... right on the border. That's where Andy crossed. When I picture him heading south in his own car with the top down, it always makes me laugh. Andy Dufresne... who crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side. Andy Dufresne... headed for the Pacific.Red: These walls are funny. First you hate 'em, then you get used to 'em. Enough time passes, you get so you depend on them. That's institutionalized.Red: Goddamn right. They send you here for life, and that's exactly what they take. The part that counts, anyway.Andy Dufresne: I understand you're a man who knows how to get things.
